Rowing Waikato resolved at the last meeting of the Executive decided to cancel the September Long Distance race. The reason is that Boathouse Events decided to run The Great Race on the same day. The Executive looked at running the race on the following weekend, but that would then clash with the Coaches conference in Tauranga and the World Championships training day at Lake Karapiro.
