Regrettably it was not possible to establish an alternate date to hold the regatta so it was cancelled for 2014.

forecast strong Southerlies rule out racing on Saturday or Sunday. Waitangi Day is being considered as an alternate. Holding the Champs in Whanganui on Sunday after the Wanganui Champs is now being considered as an alternate.

Race schedule
The draft race schedule has been taken down, as the weather forecast is currently too changeable and the schedule may need to be compressed and/or start earlier/later. It will go up again once there is more certainty about which end of the harbour the regatta will be at and what time of day the winds are likely to change significantly.
